Has anyone done the front sight weapons training?

How good is the training and the weapon they give you? I heard they do some hard sell on property too.

I believe you have to bring your own firearm and ammo

I am sure you can rent one, but I would feel uncomfortable using someone else firearm

Their program says they'll give you a free Springfield XD Pistol in 9mm, or .40SW or .45 ACP. I was just wondering how good these pistols were.

XDs have a pretty fair following. Nice triggers. Though the trigger pull length is a little short for my average-sized hands. There are some complaints that the XD40s are a bit finicky. I wouldn't feel uncomfortable recommending the XD9 or XDM9.

Nothing is free, especially an XD. Trust me, you are paying for it.

Last I heard Front Site was having some major bankruptcy type issues. Not that this has any bearing on the quality of their courses but I'd hate to pay upfront for one and get left holding the bag. Check into it before you throw down any money ahead of time.

A friend of mine went and said it was very good. He took the 4 day pistol course. Do yourself a favor and buy the gun you want and bring it with you.

Buy the certificate on Ebay and you can take a 4 day course or 2 people can take a 2 day course for 200 dollars. IT IS MUCH BETTER TO TAKE THE 4 DAY COURSE. Certificates are for first time students only.
